In the middle of a typical Texas summer, in 2015, Andrew Holzschuh stood on the Mexican border with his wife Kristen. Six months later, he crossed the Canadian border with 2,600 more miles under his feet. This hike across the Pacific Crest Trail would move him as much as his latest release and short film, “Touch”, leaving Andrew holding as much lightness and brevity as the film brought to the conversation about a reality rarely discussed.
Since his grandfather first gave him a camera, 15 years ago, Andrew has worked towards bringing the lens from relevance to focus on intentionality. For the majority of his career, the filmmaker has sought to capture and develop images that offer his interpretation of the natural and intimate moments of the world, to entice personal growth within himself and others.
