Since 2015, the Dallas Festival of Ideas has aimed at shaping the city of the future by igniting, uniting, and energizing the people of Dallas through the power of ideas. In 2019, the Festival incorporated the Dallas Book Festival into its programming and spread the city-track programs over four days at various venues across the city. In 2020, the 6th annual city-wide event will expand again, occupying the full first week of June under the theme “The Thriving City,” with the following City Tracks:  the Welcoming City, the Physical City, the Educated City, Science in the City, and the Literary City, each at a different venue around Dallas. As in past Festivals, there will be plenty of local talent alongside prominent speakers from across the U.S.
